Baseball Game Preview: Cotulla Cowboys vs. Dilley Wolves

The Cotulla Cowboys will challenge the Dilley Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cotulla has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cotulla came up short against Crystal City on Monday, falling 11-4.

Davyn Deltoro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Dilley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 6-3 to Natalia. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Dilley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elias Aguirre, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Cotulla has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11-1 record this season. As for Dilley, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Everything went Cotulla's way against Dilley in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Cotulla made off with a 25-10 victory. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
