With a playoff win on the line, Centennial rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Churchill Lancers a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Centennial, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those nine matchups. As for Churchill, they now have a losing record of 6-7-2.

Looking ahead, Centennial will take on McKay on Saturday. McKay's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Churchill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
