Baseball Recap: Wakulla Takes a Loss

If Wakulla was riding high fresh off their 12-5 takedown of Madison County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wakulla War Eagles took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bozeman Bucks on Wednesday. The War Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bucks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Wakulla saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Bruce, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Wakulla's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Bozeman, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

The future could be bright for both Wakulla and Bozeman: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Wakulla will try to hand Brookwood their third-straight loss when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bozeman will look to extend Blountstown's four-game losing streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
