Yorktown won the last time they faced McLean and things went their way on Friday too. The Yorktown Patriots pulled ahead with a 45-44 photo finish over the McLean Highlanders. The 45-point effort marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

McLean lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Rece Bowser, who went 6 of 14 en route to 14 points. Jake Bell was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Yorktown and bumps their season record up to 17-2. As for McLean, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yorktown will venture away from home to square off against Wakefield at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Wakefield has won three straight at home, while Yorktown won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for McLean, they will head out to challenge Herndon at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. McLean is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season.
