Basketball Recap: Coleman Takes a Loss

Coleman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Montabella Mustangs 51-17. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-19 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Coleman saw an underclassman step up: freshman Klaira Sysak posted eight points and 11 rebounds.

Coleman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Montabella, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-9 record.

Coleman has already played their next match (against Merrill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Montabella will host Carson City-Crystal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
