Baseball Recap: Edison Takes a Loss

Seguin hit Edison with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Golden Bears lost 11-2 to the Matadors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Matadors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Edison saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ezrah Acosta-Torres, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11-2. As for Seguin, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Edison is set to challenge their familiar foe Sam Houston at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Seguin will take on rival Burbank at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
