It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Leon had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lincoln Trojans, sneaking past 8-6. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Trojans on their field since April 9, 2019.

Trinity Williams was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashonti Alexander, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Leon's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-9. As for Lincoln, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Leon will take on Chiles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
