East Grand Rapids won the last time they faced Thornapple Kellogg and things went their way on Friday too. The Pioneers claimed a resounding 34-7 victory over the Trojans. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.

Josh McCune had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 76 yards and one score, while also throwing for 146 yards and one touchdown. Tyler Blake also helped with two TDs in total.

The win was the third in a row for East Grand Rapids, bringing their record up to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.3 points on average over those games. As for Thornapple Kellogg, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
