Softball Recap: Lakeville North Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Lakeville North put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Eastview. The Panthers put the hurt on the Lightning with a sharp 7-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The result came thanks to Aivry Abraham's shutout, as she gave up just three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lydia Rosin, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alicia Jeanson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Lakeville North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Lakeville North now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Eastview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Coincidentally, Lakeville North and Eastview will both be playing Shakopee the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Sabers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Lightning will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
