Volleyball Recap: Magnolia Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Magnolia won the last time they faced Klein Oak and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers. The Bulldogs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 12th (when they won 3-0).

Magnolia was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-19.

Sophie Gomez was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 15 digs and two aces. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Magnolia was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Klein Oak lost, don't look at Samantha Kuehnle. Despite the final result, she had nine assists and five digs.

The win (which was Magnolia's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4. As for Klein Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Coming up, Magnolia will take on Conroe in a tournament on Thursday. As for Klein Oak, they will be taking part in a tournament against Montgomery at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
