Softball Recap: Logan Grizzlies vs. Dixie Flyers

Logan extended their postseason success on Saturday against Dixie. They blew past the Dixie Flyers 10-4. Considering Logan has won ten games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Kiki Laing made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Laing was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Candence Boyer was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. Miley Allen was another key contributor, going 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a double, and an RBI.

On Dixie's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stella Adams, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Marianna Acuna, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

The victory was the third in a row for Logan, bringing their record for this year to 13-10. As for Dixie, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-20.

Logan will take on Snow Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Logan knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Snow Canyon likes a good challenge. Dixie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
