Football Game Preview: Aurora East Tomcats vs. Bartlett Hawks

Aurora East hasn't had much luck against Bartlett recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tomcats will be playing at home against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Aurora East's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Elgin on Friday. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Maroons. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Tomcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-21, which was the final score in Bartlett's tilt against West Aurora on Friday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Blackhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Aurora East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bartlett, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-4.

Aurora East took a serious blow against Bartlett in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 48-2. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tomcats were down 41-0.
