Basketball Recap: Olivia Fry Key Part of Team Effort in Bears Win

Bear River won the last time they faced South Summit and things went their way on Friday too. The Bears secured a 43-38 W over the Wildcats.

Bear River's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Fry, who posted four points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Fry a new career-high in steals (two). Samantha Theurer was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Bear River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Summit only pulled down eight.

South Summit's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ruby Clegg, who put up ten points in addition to seven steals and five boards, and Ashton Arnout, who had 14 points. Clegg has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
