Firth dropped their record down to 17-6 on Saturday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They fell 13-9 to the Challis Vikings. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 9-0.

Beau Ringel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kamdon Bott, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Challis, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8-1. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly four runs.

On Challis' side, James Parker was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Parker has posted over his last ten matches. Jayden Shepard was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
