Volleyball Recap: West Craven Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If West Craven was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Pitt last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Washington Pam Pack on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pam Pack earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

West Craven was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Washington work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 28-26, 25-22.

Danika Hurst paced West Craven's offense, picking up nine kills. Hurst got some help from Seryna Gaito and her 15 assists. Alyssa McCoy controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

With the defeat, West Craven broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 10-6. As for Washington, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

Coming up, West Craven will square off against North Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Holmes on the 1st.
