Cox won the last time they faced Bayside, and June Culicerto did her part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons put the hurt on the Marlins with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday for which the team can thank Culicerto, who had 13 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Cox was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-21.

Cox has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Bayside, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cox will welcome James Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bayside, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Kempsville at 6:00 p.m.
