Paola came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Iola Mustangs 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Paola's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Iola, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.
