Recap: West Hills Wolf Pack vs. La Jolla Country Day Torreys
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the West Hills Wolf Pack can now relate to. They took a serious blow against La Jolla Country Day on Friday, falling 35-7. West Hills was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
It was another big night for Jaden Mangini, who threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Quentin Cesaire was another key contributor, picking up 80 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
West Hills' loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for La Jolla Country Day, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
West Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. La Jolla Country Day will square off against Fallbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fallbrook is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
