Basketball Recap: Verden Find Success

Verden proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 25) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Amber-Pocasset Panthers, sneaking past 50-47. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 56-53 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Verden is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Amber-Pocasset, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-4.
