Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cardinal Spellman). Everything went their way against the Bishop Stang Spartans on Monday as they made off with a 14-3 win. While the Cardinals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Cardinal Spellman's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Bishop Stang, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cardinal Spellman will face off against Ursuline Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.29 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bishop Stang, they will challenge Arlington Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
