Basketball Recap: Broad Run Comes Up Short

After flying high against Park View on Tuesday, Broad Run came back down to earth. The Broad Run Spartans fell just short of the Loudoun Valley Vikings by a score of 74-71 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Spartans have suffered since December 7, 2024.

Broad Run's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Loudoun Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Broad Run has already played their next game (against Loudoun County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Loudoun Valley will face off against Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.
