Baseball Recap: Jackson-Olin's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Jackson-Olin hadn't done well against Huffman recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Jackson-Olin walked away with a 9-5 win over Huffman. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Wylam Wright, who scored two runs and stole seven bases while going 1-for-1. Those seven stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was DaTrell Evans, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-11. As for Huffman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson-Olin will host Fairfield on Saturday. As for Huffman, they will challenge Mountain Brook at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
