Volleyball Recap: Weiss Wolves vs. Georgetown Eagles
After flying high against Pflugerville Connally last Tuesday, Weiss came back down to earth. The Weiss Wolves fell 3-1 to the Georgetown Eagles on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-16, 25-16.
Despite the loss, Weiss still got an impressive performance from Ashley Go, who had 17 digs.
Allison O'Shaughnessy was nothing short of spectacular for Georgetown: she had 18 digs and 25 assists. O'Shaughnessy has been hot , having posted 16 or more assists the last seven times she's played.
Weiss' defeat dropped their record down to 37-11. As for Georgetown, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 38-8.
