Lyman hadn't done well against Philip recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Raiders had just enough and edged out the Scotties 3-2. The game was the first time the Raiders have beaten the Scotties on their court since September 9, 2023.

Lyman wouldn't go down easily and took Philip into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-16, 25-10, 20-25, 15-9.

Despite the loss, Philip still got an impressive performance from Taylor O'Connell, who had 34 digs. O'Connell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Lyman's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Philip, their loss dropped their record down to 8-19.

Looking ahead, Lyman will venture away from home to square off against Highmore/Harrold at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Philip, they will face off against Miller at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
