Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Middle Creek). They claimed a resounding 72-18 victory over the Western Harnett Eagles. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

It was another big night for Yasir Hall, who posted 25 points and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Middle Creek's points. George Daniels was another key player, putting up 16 points and five assists.

Middle Creek now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Western Harnett, they are on a 34-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Middle Creek and Western Harnett could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Middle Creek (ranked 169th) will meet West Forsyth (ranked 44th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Western Harnett (ranked 549th) will meet Triton (ranked 154th) at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
