Softball Game Preview: Upper Perkiomen Indians vs. Methacton Warriors

The Upper Perkiomen Indians will head out to square off against the Methacton Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Upper Perkiomen came up short against Boyertown on Thursday, falling 9-2. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Upper Perkiomen saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Eden, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of 11 wins, Methacton's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 12-3 to Owen J. Roberts. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Upper Perkiomen's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Methacton, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 13-2.

Upper Perkiomen suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Methacton when the teams last played on April 1st. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
