Basketball Game Preview: Westside Warriors vs. Brookland Bearcats

Westside is 1-9 against Brookland since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Westside Warriors will be playing at home against the Brookland Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Brookland took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Westside, who comes in off a win.

Westside took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-11 victory over Gosnell. That 37 point margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

Meanwhile, Brookland fought the good fight in their overtime game against Blytheville on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 55-47 to the Chickasaws. The Bearcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Westside's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-13. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Brookland, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-6.
