Football Recap: Valley Takes Down Prairie in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Valley walked away with it. They secured a 26-20 W over the Prairie Hawks on Friday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Hawks are ranked 30th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Prairie lost, don't look at Nasir Braddock. Despite the final result, he rushed for 144 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

The win made it two in a row for Valley and bumps their season record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.5 points over those games. As for Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Coming up, Valley will face off against Johnston on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Dragons have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
