Soccer Game Preview: Hendrickson vs. Pflugerville

The Hendrickson Hawks will face off against the Pflugerville Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Pflugerville will be up against a hot Hendrickson squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Hendrickson never let Georgetown get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Friday. Four seems to be a good number for the Hawks as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pflugerville challenged Elgin on Friday. Pflugerville was the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Elgin. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Wildcats are ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Pflugerville's third in a row) raised their record to 11-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three contests. As for Hendrickson, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Hendrickson came out on top in a nail-biter against Pflugerville when the teams last played back in February, sneaking past 2-1. Will Hendrickson repeat their success, or does Pflugerville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
