Adams Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wayne Blue Devils a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Blue Devils on Saturday, they had to take a 6-1 loss.

The result came thanks to Hunter Nepple's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Adams Central's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Reichstein, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Adams Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wayne struck out seven times.

The victory made it two in a row for Adams Central and bumps their season record up to 24-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Wayne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-11.

Coming up, Adams Central will challenge Malcolm at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Clippers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
