Basketball Game Preview: Russellville Cyclones vs. Farmington Cardinals

The Russellville Cyclones will take on the Farmington Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Russellville sitting on three straight victories and Farmington on five.

Last Friday, Russellville didn't have too much trouble with Siloam Springs as they won 68-52. Given the Cyclones' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Panthers are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Farmington against Greenwood on Friday as the team secured a 71-44 win. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.

Farmington pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Russellville, their win bumped their record up to 21-7.

Things could have been worse for Russellville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-51 loss to Farmington when the teams last played back in January.
