There's no place like home for Lincolnton, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They took down the Newton-Conover Red Devils 36-21 on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Lincolnton was led to victory by Treylen Bost and Rashad Lynch. Bost gained 204 total yards and a touchdown, while Lynch threw for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lincolnton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 315 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2023.

Lincolnton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Newton-Conover, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lincolnton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 22-14 victory against Bandys on the 5th. As for Newton-Conover, they will head out on the road to square off against West Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
