It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Groves ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Groves were the better team in the second half.

Groves' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Southeast Bulloch, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Groves will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Savannah Christian at 5:00 p.m. on April 7. As for Southeast Bulloch, they will welcome Tattnall County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
