Basketball Recap: Buckeye Central Gets the Win

Buckeye Central won the last time they faced Elgin and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Buckeye Central Bucks managed a 39-35 victory over the Elgin Comets.

Despite the loss, Elgin still got an impressive performance from Maycee Muselin, who went 9 of 19 en route to 21 points and seven boards. That was a full 60% of Elgin's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Kadence Gear was another key player, putting up five points.

Buckeye Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for Elgin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckeye Central will host Carey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Elgin has already played their next game (against Waynesfield-Goshen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
