Softball Game Preview: San Dieguito Academy Mustangs vs. Coastal Academy Stingrays

The San Dieguito Academy Mustangs will face off against the Coastal Academy Stingrays at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (San Dieguito Academy 4.1, Coastal Academy 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

San Dieguito Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Torrey Pines on Friday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

San Dieguito Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willow Wright, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Coastal Academy came up short against El Camino last Friday and fell 5-2.

Coastal Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for San Dieguito Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3-1.
