Paola Cruz Earns League's Top Spot

Starting off the list is Crescent City's Paola Cruz, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Cruz rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also caught one TD.

Crescent City's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Coming up, Cruz and the Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against Taylor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Zion Mcrae Leads the Villages Charter over East Ridge

On Thursday, The Villages Charter got the W thanks in part to Zion McRae playing the best football she has all season. McRae picked up 136 receiving yards and three touchdowns. She was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 56 yards.

The victory was the third in a row for The Villages Charter, bringing their record up to 6-6. Coming up, McRae and the Buffalo will challenge Springstead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

T'meriya Johnson Makes It Two for Crescent City

The second Crescent City player making an appearance here is T'Meriya Johnson, and for good reason. She rushed for 51 yards on only seven carries.

Brown Posts Huge Game in 26-12 Victory

Wildwood picked up their fifth consecutive win on Wednesday thanks in part to Zoey Brown. Brown made her presence known, throwing for 155 yards and four touchdowns. She also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making two total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Coming up, Brown and Wildwood are taking a road trip to take on Hernando at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Leopards thanks in part to Brown: she threw for 171 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 38 yards and one score. Can she match (or beat) that performance?
