The Timber Creek Regional Chargers will face off against the Camden County Vo-Tech Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Timber Creek Regional has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Timber Creek Regional fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Haddon Heights on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Garnets by a score of 2-1.

Anthony Hedenberg was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Timber Creek Regional is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-10 otherwise.
At the plate, Timber Creek Regional saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Scanlan, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Devan Giacchetto also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Camden County Vo-Tech came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since May 11, 2024.
Camden County Vo-Tech let Chase LaRochelle and Denzel Wiggins run wild. LaRochelle went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Wiggins went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those three hits gave LaRochelle a new career-high.
Camden County Vo-Tech pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Timber Creek Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
Timber Creek Regional took their victory against Camden County Vo-Tech in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 18-5 score. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
