Volleyball Recap: Englewood Gets the Win + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against DSST: College View, Englewood was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Lincoln Lancers by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Englewood had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.

Kira Cole paced Englewood's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cole got some help from Shana Owens and her seven assists. Christina Molina controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Englewood's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Lincoln, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
