Recap: Alvin Yellowjackets vs. Brazoswood Buccaneers
The Alvin Yellowjackets were the 47-19 winner over the Brazoswood Buccaneers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Alvin fell 43-34 to Brazoswood on Tuesday. Alvin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Alvin's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Maddy Kincaide, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The contest was Kincaide's 21st in a row with at least ten points. Kendell Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 4 steals.
Alvin has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Brazoswood, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alvin will take on Clear Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brazoswood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Van Vleck at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Van Vleck will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
