Basketball Game Preview: Sonoma Valley Dragons vs. Woodland Christian Cardinals

The Sonoma Valley Dragons will head out on the road to square off against the Woodland Christian Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Sonoma Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took down Kelseyville 76-61. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Woodland Christian had already won 17 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.9 points) and they went ahead and made it 18 on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 87-63 margin over the Mustangs. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Sonoma Valley better keep an eye on Romello Bruhn. He was instrumental in Woodland Christian's win, dropping a double-double with 49 points and ten boards. Bruhn is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in each of the last 59 games he's played dating back to last season. Tanner Thomas was another key player, shooting 70% from the field on his way to 19 points and six rebounds.

Woodland Christian's win bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Sonoma Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 17-15.
