Frontier lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Magnolia, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Cougars never let the Blue Eagles get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Monday. Not much got past Kaycee Berentz, who gave up just three hits and racked up 17 Ks to keep Magnolia off the board. Berentz has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Arnold, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Frontier pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Magnolia, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
