Dover entered their tilt with Logan on Saturday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came out on top against the Chieftains by a score of 3-1.

Dover had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-18.

Caroline Hanner paced Dover's offense, picking up 31 kills. Hanner got some help from Quincey Werntz and her 47 assists. Werntz also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Chera Schmidt, each putting up four.

Dover's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Logan, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.

Dover and Logan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Crimson Tornadoes will challenge New Philadelphia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (70 vs. 494). Meanwhile, Logan (ranked 174th) will meet Groveport-Madison (ranked 593rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
