Basketball Recap: Paw Paw Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Paw Paw won the last time they faced Sturgis and things went their way on Friday too. The Paw Paw Red Wolves took down the Sturgis Trojans 52-37. Given the Red Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Trojans are ranked 489th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Paw Paw has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Sturgis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paw Paw will face off against Benton Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benton Harbor has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Sturgis, they will square off against Central at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
