Football Recap: Chariton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Chariton was feeling good fresh off their 63-12 takedown of Clarke last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers were outmatched by the Van Meter Bulldogs and fell 49-16. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 21st).

Chariton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Van Meter, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

As for Van Meter, they will face off against Grand View Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunder's defense has only allowed 14.7 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
