Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds vs. Jubilee Brownsville Titans
St. Joseph Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They walked away with a 56-47 win over the Jubilee Brownsville Titans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bloodhounds also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2018.
St. Joseph Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aidan Garza, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Garza also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Oscar Balli, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Academy will welcome IDEA Edinburg College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jubilee Brownsville, they will face off against Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
