Recap: Crosspoint Warriors vs. Rainier Christian Mustangs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Crosspoint Warriors gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 62-6 victory over Rainier Christian at home. Winning may never get old, but Crosspoint sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Crosspoint was led to victory by Riya Tobosa and Momoyo Iwata. Tobosa dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Iwata scored 11 points along with six assists and four steals. Tobosa continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Kaylee Ajanovic was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Crosspoint pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.55 points. As for Rainier Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Crosspoint won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Puget Sound Adventist at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Puget Sound Adventist comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Rainier Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Evergreen Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Evergreen Lutheran presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rainier Christian in Washington (Evergreen Lutheran is ranked 129th, while Rainier Christian is ranked 275th).
