Winside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Omaha Nation Chiefs, falling 75-49. The Wildcats were down 55-33 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Offner, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards. That's the most rebounds Offner has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Lurz, who posted ten points and eight boards.

Even though they lost, Winside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Winside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Omaha Nation, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Winside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-51 loss against Walthill on the 16th. As for Omaha Nation, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marty Indian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Marty Indian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Omaha Nation likes a good challenge.
