Basketball Recap: Tippecanoe Valley Comes Up Short

Tippecanoe Valley lost against Northridge back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings came up short against the Northridge Raiders, falling 58-32. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Raiders are ranked seventh).

Leading Northridge to victory were Lily Scholl and Rielyn Goodwin. Scholl almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards, while Goodwin posted 12 points along with six assists and six boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Scholl has scored at least a third of Northridge's points.

Tippecanoe Valley now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Northridge, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Tippecanoe Valley will venture away from home to take on Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northridge, they will welcome Warsaw at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Northridge has won three straight at home, while Warsaw won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
