Basketball Recap: Walter Johnson Comes Up Short

Walter Johnson is still winless after their matchup against Bethesda-Chevy Chase on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons. The Wildcats were probably out for revenge after losing 66-47 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Walter Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Walter Johnson will be taking part in a tournament against Meade at 9:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Einstein at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
