Baseball Recap: Pendleton Extends Winning Streak to 12

Pendleton waltzed into their game on Wednesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Baker/Powder Valley Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 19-1 victory back in April.

Pendleton's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Baker/Powder Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

The future could be bright for both Pendleton and Baker/Powder Valley: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Buckaroos will try to hand St. Helens their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Baker/Powder Valley will look to extend Nyssa's ten-game losing streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
